Vision Network

The Vision Network of Delaware is composed of districts and schools throughout Delaware that are committed to the principles of Vision 2015. Both individually and collectively, they are working to accelerate student achievement through improved leadership, classroom instruction, and school culture, and they are sharing best practices with one another at district and school levels.   

Focus on Student Achievement
Network schools drive student achievement by using a team approach. Principals share decision-making responsibility with their leadership team and teachers. Their work focuses on increasing school leaders’ time on instruction, using student data to refine classroom teaching, and creating a school culture that emphasizes a commitment to excellence for every student.

Choosing to Improve
Participation in the Vision Network is voluntary. The leadership of interested schools and districts agree to a set of expectations and commitments, including:

• The expectation that every student will be successful
• The commitment to intensely focus on driving achievement gains for all students
• The commitment to use data at all levels to drive decision making
• The commitment to building and sustaining achievement growth through shared leadership
• The commitment to scaling great practices through the sharing of successes and challenges

Each participating district and school has made a multi-year commitment to the Network and provides matching funds to support their work.

Committed Funders and Partners
The Vision Network is supported by the Delaware Department of Education, Delaware Business Roundtable Education Committee, Rodel Foundation of Delaware, and University of Delaware. School –level workshops are designed and facilitated by Delaware educators and national experts, including a deep partnership with the consulting firm Focus on Results.  Coalition Partners include the Delaware State Education Association, the Delaware Public Policy Institute, and the Chief School Officers Association.
