In this season of giving, we thank you and all those who are building a bright and successful future for Delaware’s children and sharing the spirit of Vision 2015.
Please join us in celebrating these 2008 achievements:
• Expansion of the Vision Network to a total of six school districts and 21 schools, where committed educators are pioneering world-class practices to accelerate the achievement of 14,000 students.
• Release of two landmark studies by the Governor’s LEAD Committee, which identified how spending efficiencies could redirect up to $158 million of our current education budget to student achievement goals, and recommended how Delaware’s public education funding system could better serve the diverse needs of all Delaware students.
• Launch of the Delaware Virtual School, which is offering online courses to hundreds of students in 27 public high schools across the state.
• Growth of the Delaware Stars for Early Success program, which is raising the quality of early childhood education programs, reaching 5,000 Delaware children.
• The University of Delaware’s third partnership conference, Making Vision 2015 Work, with more than 400 attendees, which demonstrated the links between a strong education system, the health of our communities, and the vitality of our economy.
• Our continuing partnerships with businesses, community organizations, and educators throughout Delaware who share our aspirations for world-class schools.
We welcome your support as we strive to build on these and other accomplishments in the New Year.
With warm wishes for a happy holiday season…
-Vision 2015
